Apple Catches up Samsung

Samsung is in the lead when it comes to the total sales of computer, laptops, smartphones and tablets — but Apple is approaching.

Samsung has long been in the lead when it came to the total number of sold computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets, but new figures from IDC shows that Apple is approaching.

In 2012 sat Samsung on 21.2 percent of the total market for these devices, while Apple had 20.3 percent of the market.

Despite Samsung is greatest, so Apple is in the lead when it comes to revenue. Apple had 30.7% of the total turnover of computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets, while Samsung had to “settle” with 20.4 percent. The reason for the big difference is the selling price and the Samsung sells, among other things, many low-end smartphones.

The growth in this market increased by almost 30 percent in 2012 and tablet sales were the biggest reason for the increase, since it alone grew by 78.4%.
