One of the pitfalls of device Sony is that they are a little hostile to the modding world. Unlocking the bootloader in an attempt to get the root you will lose some very important software features; among the worst consequences of this procedure are the significant loss of quality of the camera, the image enhancing algorithm for photo and video X-Reality and even the inability to update your apps are proprietary Sony through the app.
The community of modders tweakers and passionate about these devices, however, has always managed to find a way to bypass the protection of Sony and restore all the software functionality lost. Well, you’ll be glad to know that it happened with the latest flagship range 25, which includes Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact Xperia and Xperia Z5 Premium.
The change has just been posted on xda-developers, but the first tests by others are encouraging. It seems that the quality of the photos is back to the levels of the original and you are able to update the Sony proprietary app. Eventually the procedure is simple: download the relevant file and flasharlo (of course after unlocking the bootloader) via TWRP.
Let’s be clear: the warranty will be invalidated -in fact there is no solution can restore the system exactly as it was before-and technically you are talking about a workaround, which could also be blocked by Sony with the next update to marshmallows. For now, however, you will be able to enjoy the potential of the device. All you have to do is head to its own thread on xda!
